Dubwest Records originally got it's start in 1982 when *Pete
Juliana, friend of the band, wanted to record The Tazmanian Devils
last live show. The band was calling it quits. In Juliana's mind the
group had never really been captured on record live in their favorite
environment, a hot and sweaty night club packed with
TAZMANIACS. Juliana along with Ken Morrow formed Dublab
Records to create a label to release a four song 12 inch vinyl EP
entitled "Tazmanian Devils LIVE". Followed by the signing of The
Impostors from Petaluma in 1983 and releasing "Mask", an EP by
Robin and The Rocks, Jamaican reggae LP's by Nelson Miller, The
Two Ton Machine "Chinatown", Bobby Ellis and The Crew "Shaka"
and a comedy album by John Means-Dr. Gonzo's "The Doc of
Comedy Rock" in 1985.
In 2005, after years in the fine art world as an artist and graphic
designer in Laguna Beach, CA. Juliana moves to Sonoma County,
CA and re-enters the music business and forms Dubwest Records
along with The Tazmanian Devils to release their new CD entitled
"Taz Nuvoux".
